A free taster session and full application is mandatory before accessing our activities. The application process has a quick turnaround of just 2 working days, but taster sessions can only be booked using existing session dates. Therefore please allow at least one month from point of contact to point of entry into our services so we have time to book a convenient taster session. A carer is required to attend the taster session with the applicant.

Clubs

Livewire Club

Members: Adults aged 18 – 40
Venue: Southampton Mencap Activities Centre with some possible trips out to Portswood or bowling etc.
Dates of sessions: Alternate Wednesdays depending on age (groups are made up of 18-25 year olds and 25-40 year olds with some discretion applied where necessary.)
Times of sessions: 6.30pm – 9.00pm
Closures during year: During major School Holidays (Easter, part Summer & Christmas.) Closures due to Bank Holidays will be advised
Transport: No
Maximum Places: 25

Adult Gateway

Members: Adults aged 40 upwards
Venue: Southampton Mencap Activities Centre with some possible trips out to Portswood shops/cafes etc.
Dates of sessions: Alternate Saturdays
Times of sessions: 1.30pm to 4.00pm
Closures during year: During major School Holidays (Easter, part Summer & Christmas.) Closures due to Bank Holidays will be advised
Transport: No
Maximum Places: 25
